The Maine EMS Memorial and Education Site is unique in the nation as a visual and audio recognition of, and public education about emergency medical services, our system and professionals (those lost in the line of duty as well as those who serve every day). The Friends of EMS for Maine is incorporated in Maine as a charitable organization, and federally designated a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It has been established to support the EMS system in our State, specifically to:

  • Maintain and sustain the EMS Memorial and Education site in Augusta;
  • Educate the public about emergency medical services; and to
  • Enhance the well-being, education, and support of our career and volunteer EMS professionals, EMS agencies and facilities, and the overall EMS system in Maine
